This is a BIG update to our current app. In this version, we include multiple main features to enhance the app and improve even more the payment experience. Apart from minor bug fixes, this new update is mainly composed by the following:

Bug Fixes

We fixed the Bug that was causing the app to end the users’ Session, causing the app to freeze and several additional minor bugs such as an error while adding card, making a payment and accessing the profile settings.

Security

Face Recognition and Fingerprint support! You are now able to set up Face Recognition or your Fingerprint to access the app and confirm payments, adding an important layer of security to your transactions. If Face Recognition or Fingerprints is not supported by your device, the app will use the default PIN Code you have set up in the phone Settings.

Direct Payment

A unique payment option in Dominican Republic! Users now have the option to pay businesses directly within the app without having to scan a QR Code. Simply go to the Business profile, choose the “Pay” option, introduce the transaction amount and that’s it! It’s literally as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Search

Introducing Explorables and Lists. We have completely redesigned the Search section, allowing users to discover new businesses and take get to know the Point community a little better. The Explorables are organized in the following sections:

Latest: All the latest things happening in Point.Pay.

Popular Near You: Popular business near your location.

Recommended For You: Businesses we think you might love, based on your activity in the app.

Lists: Curated lists made by the Point.Pay team, highlighting the best businesses in Point.Pay.

Categories: Where businesses are organized by their main category, making it a lo easier for users to find what they’re looking for.

Tip

We have temporarily eliminated the option to add additional tip.

point.pay is the most complete payments app available. By integrating different aspects of the payments experience, we are able to offer you the best of the best.

In Home you will find your profile, showing your latest payments and recently visited restaurants. Here, you will also find a QR Code Scanner which is used for paying. Simply open the scanner to pay, and that’s it!

The Search section displays all the available restaurants. You can also search for a specific restaurant, sort the list, and use the available filters to show your desired restaurants. By tapping any restaurant, you will be able to see its profile, which has all the additional information you need. You will also be able to Call, Send a Message, Get Directions using your desired navigation app, and visit the restaurant’s Instagram profile.

All your transaction history and receipts are in Activity. Here you will find a list of all the transactions you have ever made with point.pay, organized in chronological order (most recent on top). You can also search for a specific transaction, sort the list, and use the available filters to show your desired payments. By tapping any transaction, you will be able to see the receipt, which has all the payment details.
